Lucy inman
Administrative & Program Assistant
Lucy is a passionate helper and community builder. Growing up as a hearing impaired person, she developed a deep empathy for anyone experiencing visible or invisible differences and resonates strongly with Music Therapy for Autism’s mission to empower clients to live fulfilling lives, providing them with a deep sense of purpose and belonging.
Lucy is a life-long learner and whole-hearted developer of people. She is family-oriented, having grown up in Athens, GA with a father who worked at The University of Georgia and instilled in her a value for education in all its forms and a mother who taught her the importance of compassion and community through her dedicated work as a Hospice Nurse. Her older brother is a passionate musician and artist whose love for music was contagious and sparked Lucy’s own journey with song and instruments. Her other brother is a passionate philosopher who challenged Lucy from a young age to find deeper meaning in all her pursuits. Her Nana was an avid gardener and advocate for the natural world; she planted this love for nature and animals within Lucy’s heart.
These values along with sharing life with neighbors from all around the world propelled Lucy to study at Georgia Tech where she had the opportunity to become a Presidential Scholar, member of the International Program, and focus on Civil and Environmental Engineering with a minor in Spanish.
Her educational pursuits and desire to serve under-resourced populations earned Lucy several experiences living and working internationally before she was invited to come back Georgia to work in the Clarkston area among immigrant and refugee communities, where she took charge developing a Training Academy focused on educating and developing local leaders in holistic community development principles and practices all around the world.
Lucy has years of experience as a youth soccer coach, tutor to all grades, afterschool program leader, caregiver to neurodivergent and special needs children and their families, as well as extensive experience as an administrative assistant.
She enjoys serving at her church and in her community, is happily married, and adores her three big, active dogs.
