Partnerships

Community partnership is at the heart of our mission with Music Therapy for Autism. We strive to foster belonging and uplift our neurodivergent neighbors in our city and all around the world. Our hope at Music Therapy for Autism is to see a more inclusive world where everyone belongs and contributes a meaningful purpose.
We want all countries and cultures to thrive, embracing neurodivergent people as an irreplaceable part of a holistic community.
 

We are fortunate to have found partners with the same passion and purpose. Together, we have forged mutually beneficial, culturally informed, and deeply encouraging partnerships that are seeking to create a more inclusive and informed world.

Empower abilities for youth & children

Empower Abilities for Youth & Children is a vocational inclusive center working with neurodivergent populations in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

​

Their mission is to:

Empower children and youth with disabilities — especially autism and communication challenges — through inclusive vocational training, life skills development, and technology education.

​

Their aim is to:

  • Build independence and dignity

  • Develop employable skills

  • Support families

  • Promote inclusion in Ethiopian society

  • Demonstrate the real capabilities of our children

​

Their context:

Empower Abilities for Youth & Children is based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia - a bustling capital city. Their primary barrier to working with neurodivergent populations is the ingrained cultural belief that disabilities are a curse. This deep-seeded perception severely limits the resources and opportunities available to people and families experiencing any form of disability. Empower Abilities for Youth & Children is seeking to transform this cultural belief by establishing a new narrative that is rooted in the dignity and value of each person.

Why are we partnering together?

Both of our companies are founded upon the conviction that with the right support, our children can truly thrive. We are committed to the transformation that is possible by offering the right support. We are both tackling the urgent gap in resources by creating specialized vocational and skills-based programs for children with autism.

Our primary goal is to:

Help Empower Abilities for Children & Youth build their own Music Program by the end of 2026.
